We start with a few discovery calls. No deck, no pitch — just shadowing your team through the messy, repetitive parts of the week. We map every tool touched, hand-off made, and decision re-made until the shape of the problem is clear.
Build the smallest thing that helps.
We design and build a system that takes the load off — usually an LLM-driven pipeline glued to the tools you already use. We ship in weeks, not quarters, and iterate against real output side-by-side with your operators.
Host and tend.
Once it earns its keep, we host the system on our infrastructure for a flat monthly fee. We monitor it, retrain it, and evolve it as your business changes. No surprise invoices, no abandoned scripts rotting on a laptop.
Build it with us, not for us.
We’re recruiting three to five small businesses to shape what Verdes Labs becomes. You bring the workflow that’s eating your week. We bring the engineering, the AI, and the patience to actually understand it. The work is free or near-free during this phase — in exchange we ask for your time and your honesty.

Verdes Labs is run by Jon: BS and MS in electrical and computer engineering with an emphasis on deep learning, then engineering in big tech, AI-driven fintech automation at Pilot, and most recently AI infrastructure — building the evaluation systems that tell you whether an AI is actually doing its job. That last part shapes everything here: most software shipped as “AI” is never measured. Everything Verdes Labs builds is.
The first product is being built inside my parents’ company, where the cost of bad software and the value of good software are both extremely real. Everything we ship has to earn its keep there before we ship it to anyone else.
